The Pop Star challenge is much like the Pepsi Challenge. Remember the commercials from the 1980s? Alisa's videos feature a hilariously irritated host. This means that Alisa is actually driving traffic around YouTube for viewers to participate in her game.
Not only is this an incredibly confident move, but it's using the YouTube network in a very savvy new way. It's truly a web 2.0 concept and very impressive.
Luckily, most commenters agree that Alisa Apps is also impressive.
