Anime Genesis has been credited as one of the first and longest-running anime podcasts in existence on the Internet today. Benu is also credited as an anime podcast pioneer. Anime Genesis has been featured and mentioned on many sites and podcasts including Anime News Network, Mania.com, Anime World Order, Anime Pulse, Lab Rats and many more. Benu has also been able to film and record interviews and panels with some of the biggest names in anime today such as the very popular anime voice actresses Aya Hirano, Minori Chihara, and Yuko Goto of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star fame. He has also hosted a podcasting workshop at last year’s Anime Expo, the nation’s largest anime and manga convention. Benu is currently planning a live recording of Anime Genesis for this year’s Anime Expo.

Benu lives with his family in Pomona, California. His current favorite anime are Lucky Star and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Benu is extremely interested with anything having to do with Haruhi and Aya Hirano.
