Maple Lake, Ontario is where I spent entire summers in my youth, as we own a large piece of land and three cottages there. This blog is my love letter to "Maple Lake Ontario" through words and photographs and through the recollections of my relatives who staked a claim over 65 years ago. I am also actively recording current events in the Maple Lake area and the ever-growing Algonquin and Haliburton Counties.
Growth is changing life there in a very real way. I plan to continue to document events there year-round with the summer turning to a first-hand examination of all there is to enjoy as a part of this unique slice of nirvana.
On a more practical level, I am renovating and upgrading the cottage and each summer I'll visually record the changes and how I've accomplished them.
