If so, you have perhaps thought about monetizing it and already done some searches on Google to discover a world of opportunity..... right?

Well, monetizing your blog makes sense but don't give up the day job.

This blog is about monetizing and marketing your site or blog but it doesn't promise that you will make lots of money, no, this blog will help you to avoid pitfalls, scams and keep your goals realistic.

The fact is there are a lot of 'get rich quick' schemes out there and the only person getting rich is the scheme creator at your expense. There are websites and blogs run by people who claim that they make tens of thousands of dollars a month blogging and that you can too... maybe but unlikely.

They make their money from you joining the various money making schemes they promote as their affiliate. These are pyramid schemes and a pyramid has a very thin tip - ie just the few at the top make any real money...
