I'm a conservative teacher blogging from the Houston area. Areas of interest include news and politics, education related issues, religion, and history. As far as point of view goes, i am conservative, though with an open mind and a willingness to go against the grain when warranted.

As far as the personal life goes, I'm married with one spoiled dog, so you will hear about both my darling wife and the dearest doggy on a regular basis.

Bits of personal history that I draw upon are my childhood as a military dependent, my education (which includes a BA in History, MS in political Science, and graduate study in theology), work experience in education and social services, and my love of reading (primarily history, biography, science fiction) and politics.
