Sparkplugging Founder & CEO
I started Sparkplugging.com as a hobby blog named eMoms at Home in April of 2006. I never anticipated it would grow into one of the largest sites on the internet dedicated to helping people start real businesses from home. There are now 15 blogs on our network, all dedicated to the needs of home office workers.
Since that time, I’ve become known for my expertise on blogging, social media strategy, and starting micro-businesses. It’s because this is my passion - I live and breathe entrepreneurship and absolutely love to help others create careers that are fulfilling and family-friendly. Social technology has created vast opportunities to enable more people to become self-employed, and I love to teach people how to leverage Web 2.0 into work that matters.
I now write for Entrepreneur.com, and my company and I have been featured in The Chicago Daily Herald, Boston’s WBZ, The Huffington Post, LifeHacker and Success Magazine. I also speak frequently at prominent business/tech conferences including SXSWi, BlogWorldExpo, BlogHer, SOBCon, Small Business Marketing Unleashed, and Utah’s Blogging for Business Conference.
