I think I ve been having so many problems with my thyroid the last few days because my girlie problems hit about a week early, so I expect to definitely be sleeping more and more over the next few days... I ve only missed one Spittoono in the last 8 years or so, and I don t plan on missing it again this year... Spittoono originally started as a redneck festival created by a bunch of guys sitting around drinking beer at the Esso club ... Yes the Esso club was a gas station that sold beer, and eventually the beer outsold gas... We didn t much care to see a bunch of guys prancing around on stage wearing tights or singing in Italian... You can t even CLOG to that kinda music!... Over the years other redneck festivals in the area have caused Spittoono to take a more southern rock feel, and I like it that way... I stayed up all night waiting on one Olympic event, watching Michael Phelps break the record... The pc s off, so I m reporting from my cell phone that the men s relay team did it!... They pulled out a win to give Michael Phelps 8 gold medals bring him to a total of 16 medals, and 14 of them are gold!... … View Post »

After what happened last night/early this morning with my thyroid I started thinking of new ways to approach my doctor about getting me on some medication... I called my sister, and since she goes to another doctor, asked if I could get a copy of her medical history... I called my dad and asked for the same thing since they both have a thyroid disease... We ate and settled in to watch a bit of Olympic stuff with the in laws, and that s when I started feeling like my neck was tightening again... After my coughing fit ended I started to feel the lump in my throat again... It was already getting pretty late, so I told Hubby I thought it was time to head home... By 11pm I had a lump the size of a golf ball... The way I see it, this has gone way too far... … View Post »

I ve been going to bed around 10:30 or 11pm and waking up bright and early at 6:30am with Hubby... I went to bed at 11pm last night dead tired... When I sat up I immediately noticed I had an awful cramp in my lower back the kind you get if you sleep on a bad mattress in the same spot for 8 hours... Within a few minutes I started feeling that horrible lump in my throat that I absolutely dread... There won t be any running to the doctor in the morning for blood work because that method hasn t been working... My levels are back to normal before morning, so now I have to keep a journal of my symptoms, what time of the night the thyroid attack occurs, and I have to try to take photos if the lump is visible... If we can setup a pattern then the endocrinologist can finally set me up with some medication to help it... I thought after getting my cash back for the Ebay dispute I filed everything was settled... I sent dude his item back a couple weeks ago, got my money yesterday, and that should be the end of it... I went into My Ebay to leave feedback for the auction... Of course I m going to leave honest feedback telling what happened only now I can t leave feedback... Instead of getting the message that I need to leave feedback now it s showing as unpaid, and I don t have the option to leave feedback... I checked into it, and it s telling me I haven t paid for the seat the seat that I returned the seat that I disputed the seat I received a refund for!... … View Post »

Hubby and I have changed our mind on our anniversary trip so many times now... Yeah I love going to Dollywood, but a theme park isn t my idea of a romantic get away... We did luck up on a great ticket package though, so we went ahead and purchased it thinking we d either use it for our anniversary or go at another time... The great thing about the ticket package is we don t have a set weekend we have to use them... For our anniversary we decided to head to Edisto Island , a nice quiet beach my family used to go to every year... There s no set schedule of events we have to stick to, and it ll be more like a honeymoon... … View Post »

Today has been a very lazy day around our house and for good reason, too... We used to do that all the time, but as we ve gotten older it hardly ever happens... He made himself get up at 12:30 so he can actually sleep tonight... Have I mentioned my stove is completely broken now?... I went to make myself an egg sandwich for breakfast, and the thing wouldn t heat up... He sat down to eat his sandwich, and we heard his little radio go off twice requesting emergency services for motorcycle wrecks... We re going to hear of more and more motorcycle accidents as the year goes on, and the media have a field day with it... Anti-motorcycle groups try to say it s because motorcycles are so dangerous, but they don t take into account how many people are switching over to motorcycles without any experience like the Harley guy I wrote about... … View Post »

I know a ton of other people are bitching about the way Paypal handles things now, but I m joining that bitchfest... That way I can use the cash I have in my account, and I can pull whatever else I need from the bank account... I put a specific amount of cash in that bank account just for bills... The main reason I was previously doing it through Paypal was because my rinky dink little home bank refuses to acknowledge there s an issue with my debit card for my checking account... I ordered some bath & body stuff a few days ago, and I paid for that directly with Paypal, not my debit card... I ordered something from drugstore.com that arrived at the beginning of the week but still haven t shown up in Paypal... My Startup Schwag subscription is the only thing other thing coming out of my Paypal right now... … View Post »
