I actually sold my super-duper-neato camera to go on a trip to NYC last month, so a lack of pictures has meant a lack of posting... I ' m hoping that in the next month or so, I ' ll be able to afford a nice, slim, el-cheapo camera to take with me on my day-to-day excursions... Try my free stock photo account!... … View Post »

I know that I ' m one of many people who when they travel, or just leave the house, and see a gorgeous sunset or a nice bit of nature, that you feel compelled to take a photograph... You don ' t want to delete them, but at the same time, you need to put them "somewhere"... While you might not be the next "Ansel Adams", many sites will broker a nice picture of a skyline because someone out there needs it for some proposal, broscure, etc. These sites off the images "royalty-free" meaning that when they ' re purchased, you get paid a percentage of the sale ONCE for the duration of their license on the image... Meaning that you won ' t get a check for the rest of your life, but also that the person who bought it, can only use it while they have the rights to it... The image itself is owned by you unless you make a different arrangment with the company... It ' s not necessarily a get-rich-quick scheme, but it ' s not impossible to make an extra $100 here or there depending on the quality and popularity of your images... And the only thing that ' s required is for you to fill out an "independent contractor ' s form" and provide a certain number of images that meet the website ' s standards... The "auditioning" process can often be the most tiresome portion of the whole ordeal, but should be accepted, will be a positive lesson in your favor... … View Post »

My blog has continued to grow over the past few months, and I ' m hoping to make things bigger and better in the months to come... Right now I ' m out of classes for the semester, so I have the next 3 months to focus on writing and traveling without having to worry about what paper or test I have due next week... During this time I ' m hoping to make it out to some of the local cheese shops in the Manhattan area ( Artisanal, etc ), and see all the stupid touristy sights, with my local friends... Kind of sad that I ' ve been up there nearly 3 times now, and I still haven ' t really seen the city... Their the new kid on the block in pay - per - post advertising... ( They ' re actually owned by the same people as payperpost.com, Izea. ) They ' re trying to incorporate paid posting and social networking one site and making it more and more likely for news and tidbits to go viral... … View Post »
( About time too!... It ' s a service that connects advertisers with bloggers, and makes it easier for them to receive blog advertising... Advertising on blogs is a new trend in the marketing industry that has been growing in leaps and bounds in the past few years... I remember that I thought people were crazy when they told me that they get paid for blogging?... Wouldn ' t it be cool to be an on - the - road travel blogger!... … View Post »
1 ) Test Track, Future World, Epcot I know for a lot of thrill seekers out there that Test Track isn ' t nearly as fast, nor does it go upside down or invert... And it has a single rider line which makes it a lot easier to ride multiple times, or when the park is busy... 2 ) Spash Mountain, Frontier Land, Magic Kingdom I used to avoid this ride like the plague when I was a kid, but now I enjoy it more than ever!... The story line is infectious and on a hot day it ' s nice to climb into the log, and get a little wet... Or soaked if you ' re sitting in the wrong / right spot... This ride has recently gone under referb to make the line move more quickly, but if you show up on an off - weekend or during the morning hours you ' re guaranteed a short wait... ( It ' s scheduled, but it just hasn ' t been executed. ) Everest makes an artistic nod to the Matterhorn at Disneyland, but manages to pave it ' s own storyline and proved a more modern coaster ride... … View Post »

Going to the gun range and popping off a few rounds with my Black Pistol Grip, Mossberg 500.12 Gauge!... ( Yes, they have their own paintball field! ) It ' s a great range, with low fees, friendly staff, and lots of space in your stall... But I highly recommend that you bring your own gear before attending any range... And the best place I ' ve found for holsters, conceal carry pouches, and other survival / tactical gear is LA Police Gear... Don ' t believe me?... … View Post »

My blog has been around for a little over a year now, with the bulk of it ' s focus being on quirky food reviews, and kitchy travel guides... And while it ' s a lot of fun getting to report about all my daring travels throughtout the US, and eventually beyond... Things are difficult because I do have an unsponsored blog and it means that I have to find time in my busy day to update, when I could be working for pay, or relaxing... For those of you who aren ' t familiar, payperpost is the mecca of blog advertising sites... Which makes things a lot easier on my end now that I ' m not worrying about how I ' m going to afford to throw away a half and hour every day blogging on here... For those of who are currently running your own blogs, or considering starting your own blog, but are worried about taking the time out every day, consider this: Payperpost ' s tasks are on average $5 ea and require 200 words or less... As a semi - pro writer it takes me 1 / 2 hr to pen 500 words, which means that in less than 15 mins, I can make $5, and in 1 hr, I can make $10!... … View Post »
