The weather here over the last few days has been nice. The boys and I have been outside a lot playing and enjoying the sun. But today, WOW, the temperature must have dropped 30 degrees, it is cold today!! I looked at the thermometer and it was 28F so I decided it was time for a nice warm fire. We have a really nice fireplace in our house and so I got all the wood together and started it up. Before my husband left he bought a RIK of wood to keep us going throught the winter and it is really coming in handy. I got the fire up and going and was able to turn down the heater to save on electricity. As a mother, it just breaks my heart to see my children cry when they get hurt or scared as I am sure is the same with you if you have kids. He started to cry harder as I attempted to get the door open because we do not have keys for the bedroom doors. So, now he was really screaming, my other son was crying because his brother was scared and I was getting nervous because I could not get the door opened. After 30 minutes I called my husband to see what I needed to do to open the door. He told me not to worry about any damage and just to bust it down. Luckily I was able to bust the door open and get him out so I could comfort him and all he kept saying was "I scared mommy, I scared". It broke my heart to see him so frightened and crying! Thankfully it was just a locked door. I don't have to worry anymore because I damaged the door knob getting in and now it will not lock, HA, take that door knob! :)
