Family vacations can be a bit tricky, especially if you have little children. If it was just you and your partner, it wouldn't be that bad. I'll bet you can enjoy each other anywhere you'd wish. And the fact that you wouldn't have to worry about pleasing any body else but yourselves is just comforting. But the truth is, most couples don't have this luxury anymore. They've got other people to worry about and consider when it comes to planning a trip away from home.
With little kids, it gets even more hectic. They would demand a lot of attention, and you'd have to make sure that they enjoy. But then again, this often spoils it for the parents.
Thank goodness I can now plan a Jersey Shore beach Vacation where I am sure the whole family will enjoy. It features the best water parks in New Jersey and I'm sure that it would please the kids more. Of course, amusement parks are always good for a family vacation. It's always a paradise of fun for a family with kids, and I don't have to worry about a thing. I'm sure that it would be a better vacation for us to go to than staying at home and boring the kids during the school holidays.

There are a few things that make me glad that the Christmas season is over. But there is only one reason that gives me a big smile. Usually after the Christmas break stores have their stock take or clearance sale. It's a sale that gives me a reason to spend some of my Christmas bonus. Most of the time I get good bargains on really good brands.
The only bad thing about is the rush that it gives people. Usually people try to flock to malls and department stores to grab all the good bargains earlier. I don't like to rush with people so I end up shopping after the madness. I still get good stuff, but I end up trying to find things that would fit me. The smaller dress sizes are the first ones to go. But all in all, post Christmas is still a happy time for big shoppers like me.

Everyday Life

Every Christmas seems to be about the gifts that we receive. Most of us think that we need something new every year. Most people would insists on having new gadgets as gifts. Others would consider beauty products as their must haves this holiday season. There are a few who would love to get their hands on new self defense products to help themselves.
Have we ever stopped to think for a moment that the real meaning of Christmas is beyond the gifts or the receiving. Sharing is the fact that is probably not too obvious for most. Yes, Christmas is all about sharing and giving; and off course celebration for the birth of Jesus Christ.

Everyday Life

My hubby has been very worried lately because of the coming Christmas holidays. Firstly, he's been worried about how to spend his vacation; but assured him that time he spends with us is worth more than anything else. Of course, it would also be great if we could spend a day at the beach; a shopping spree, and more fun with the kids.
Of course that wasn't all he was worrying about. He was probably worried about what gift he would be giving me, but he ended up giving me the right gift in the end. He was also particularly worried about a gift for his own dad. You see, my father in law is a bit of a sport fan. So my hubby got over that worry by giving him a nice set of Ping Golf clubs. Well actually, it was just a couple; but I think that my father in law would be very pleased with those. So my hubby ended up worrying about a lot of things this holiday season, but he was able to get over them quite easily.

Everyday Life

Stress can lead to avoidance and procrastination, so that problems are left unresolved and thus become bigger and even more stressful. It can be a bitter cycle.
You can take control, however. Facing up to problems and then keeping them in perspective are key strategies to resolving stress. Even if you are unable to change the circumstances, you can change the way you think about them.
Think about your values, goals and priorities. What is important to you? How do you want to live your life? Being clear about these issues will mean that you are in a much better position to decide what and what not to do with your life.
Think about your worries in the long term. Will these things matter in ten years, or even in a year's time? Think about the pressures you face. Can you resolve them? Be realistic. Let go of the things you are not responsible for, or whose solutions are in the hands of others.
Take responsibility - and take action! Take a problem-solving approach to all your worries. Define the problem. Then brainstorm as many possible solutions as you can. Decide on what to do - and do it.
You can do it!

Everyday Life

My sons wishes a PS3 as gift from Santa. I think Santa will not grant his wish because they had enough with games. They got their Wii and PC. I just explain to them that not all wish come true. They have to understand what is really the meaning of a wish. Wish are the things that you want but impossible to happen. I must understand most of the kids used this term with their talks. Do you parents explain to your kids what is really a wish? Kids most of the time wants so much. Sometimes they don't realized how lucky they are because they get almost everything they want and still they felt it's not enough.

Everyday Life

At the moment my kids are arguing because they're running out of pen. Can you believe that? Since Monday, every after I took them out to park to play, they would immediately get pens, pencils and papers to draw and write anything. I told them not to use pens and just use pencils but we're running out of pencil. So, I allowed them to use pens and even let them borrow my one and only pen because all of our pens even the promotional pens we got somewhere were consumed. They really love to draw and draw and write and write if they're home. Scratch papers scattered all around their rooms. I told them that Santa won't give them any presents if they don't make their room tidy. What they did is they stuck all the scratch papers inside their cabinets. Oh my kids.

Everyday Life

It's not easy to think of gift ideas for kids. I know that you can pretty much get them the toys they like or the books that they usually read; but I was thinking along the lines of something useful to them. We get them toys and books every now and then, so on Christmas day it should be something different.
I have narrowed down my list of great gifts for my kids to four items. Top on my list is an instrument. Maybe it's good for them to learn to play a new instrument. The next item are talking watches for my son, who doesn't know how to read the time yet. It would be helpful for them to learn to manage time on their own. And a watch would be appropriate. The next thing is learning computer software. My eldest needs polishing up with his maths and English, so I was thinking of giving him software that allowed him to study and have fun at the same time. Lastly, I was thinking of education toys. This one is a last resort of course.

Everyday Life

You can't decide on a gift for your love ones this Christmas? Well, same here. I've been having the same problem for the last couple of months. As Christmas is fast approaching, I kept asking myself what would be the best gift to give to my love ones. I remembered how my previous gifts were not that much appreciated; and that made me think.
This Christmas I'm giving my love ones the choice of gift that they would want. I realized that I could just give them a gift card so they can buy the things that would suit them more. In this way, I don't have to worry about my gift being rejected. All they need to do is pop to the department store and purchase something that they would like. A gift card is a practical gift for this season of giving, as it is practical for any occasion.

Everyday Life

How would you define a happy life? This is probably a question that has been asked too many times, and has been answered in many different ways. But let me look at from today's context. It always comes down to what a happy life means now. When you think about it, the meaning of a happy life has constantly evolve throughout history.
In the old days, people used to think that a happy life would be living a simple life. And by this I mean having a roof over their heads, and 3 square meals a days. Others would have considered a happy life as having a home to settle in. I guess some of us would still consider this true today; but for most of us, times have changed. Life isn't as simple as having a roof over our heads or having a complete meal. It's not even as simple as having term life insurance to set us after life. Each of us would be craving for more things.
Especially in this day and age of the Internet, a life wouldn't be complete for us without connectivity. We are also ruled by the material things and our so called gadgets. Simple things are not as satisfying as they were before. Well, even television is no longer enough for a lot of us. So you see, a happy life all depends on how we embrace the times. If we cling to the basic necessities, then you could say that having a roof over our heads and complete daily meals is enough to define our happy life. But if we are children of the current times, then we are more for gadgets and things of the Internet.

Everyday Life
