Today i had the day off so i needed to clean our old desktop computer before i get ready to send it to my wife's sister in the Philippines. This computer is about 7 years old so its seen some good years. I've cleaned the insides of it before so this wasn't going to be a big deal for me, or so i thought. I just formatted the hard drive the other day and put a fresh copy of Windows XP Home edition on it so it was all ready to go. I just didn't want to send a dirty computer to the Philippines as that wouldn't look good on my part. I took the covers off, took the video card and main processor and cooling fans off the main board and vacuumed all the cobwebs off the board. After a thorough cleaning i put everything back together and re-booted the PC and got the black screen of death. I guess it couldn't find the video card so that's why i got a black screen. I removed the video card and checked it out for damage then re-inserted it again much to no avail. I did this many times all with the same results. Of all the problems i really didn't need this now. So now it looks like I'll have to try putting the video card in our new computer to see if it will work. If not, then it looks like I'll be taking a trip to Fry's to buy a new video card before i send the computer to the Philippines. Urghhhhhh!! I so don't need this problem now.

With the Christmas holiday fast approaching time is almost up. But there's still a little more time left and you don't want to miss out on some really great <a href="http://socialspark.com/metrics/click/post?slot_id=29199&amp;url=http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;209213533;31067802;u" rel="nofollow"><span style="color:#3333ff;">last minute gifts from Kmart</span></a>. I went to Kmart just the other day to look for some things for the apartment and found that Kmart still has some great gifts for under 25 dollars. I found Leapfrog Leapster Learning Games in various titles and i know my son would really enjoy something like this because it teaches him basic skills as he's growing up. And another thing i found which is one of his favorite is the Thomas and friends take along sodor airport playset. My son just loves anything to do with Thomas the tank engine. I found a cool set of screwdrivers that i could really use for my work also for under 25 dollars. My wife found a black &amp; decker brew-n-go coffee machine perfect for making a single cup of coffee every day so we don't have to waste a lot of coffee and i want to pick one up for me so i can use it at work. My wife's sister wants a set of hair clippers so i found the norelco multi-purpose grooming kit with cordless rechargeable trimmer to be the perfect gift for her.<br /><br /><map name="map2079"><area shape="RECT" coords="0,0,206,45" href="http://socialspark.com/metrics/click/disclosure?slot_id=29199&amp;url=http://www.kmart.com" rel="nofollow"><area shape="RECT" coords="207,0,225,45" href="http://socialspark.com/code_of_ethics" rel="nofollow"></map>

The weather was terrible in San Diego because it was raining hard all the way up there. I promise my wife I would take her up to the mountain to see snow so when we got up there we had to stop at a check point and we were instructed we have to put tire chains on. By the time we got to a thousand trails we pulled over and put tire chains on. A mile of two later we hit snow and then we got up to Lake Cuyamaca and stop to get a bite to eat. So then we turn around and look for a spot to play in the snow, the picture you see here is were we stopped, we had a great time in a snow. We made a snowman. We bought a boogie board so we could slide on the snow. We had a great time and we’ll do it again soon!

As a father, i feel so fortunate that my son loves to eat vegetables. When we go to the Chinese buffet my wife feeds him broccoli floret's and green beans and he really loves to eat them. I'm so happy because i hear many little children these days don't eat enough vegetables. Vegetables are packed with all kinds of vitamins and nutrients to prevent a wide variety of diseases. Vegetables are important sources of many nutrients, including potassium, dietary fiber, folate (folic acid), vitamin A, vitamin E, and vitamin C. They can prevent stroke and cancer as well so the next time you try to feed your children vegetables and they don't like it, just remember the benefits.

Apparently this woman and her fiancé were on a popular beach and the man was going to pop the question to her on a famous rock or beach area when a large wave came up and swept the Filipina off the rock and into the sea never to be found again. When my wife told me this story i got so mad about this guy. First question. What normal responsible man takes his fiancé to an area of a beach that's considered to be a hazardous area with Thick fog and dangerous water conditions in Neskowin Beach and proposes to her? Second question: Where is the emotions and sorrow on this guys face after this accident happens? I mean come on! We're talking about this guy’s fiancé here who he's been dating online for 3 years now. If he felt any kind of remorse, i sure missed it. You would think after that much time, there's going to be some serious tears but i don't see any. I'm so mad at this guy right now and from what I’ve heard, many other people are too. I would never, ever take my fiancé to a place that is dangerous like this to propose. And she couldn't swim either. This guy is totally irresponsible and i blame him for this whole incident. I feel so sad for the parents and i have a hard time getting this tragic accident out of my head. Anyone want to share their opinions on this and tell me how they feel i would love to hear from you.

Yep, you heard me right. Mervyns is the next big business to be calling it quits because of the current financial crisis with the economy. My wife, son and i went to mervyns in imperial beach tonight and we bought a lot of clothes for my son and some new boots for my my wife. I cant believe the money we saved. My wife bought a pair of boots that normally cost $75.00 but she paid $30.00 for them. The cost of my sons clothes would have cost us $140.00 but after saving $80.70 the bill came out to be $59.57! My wife and i were stunned when we walked out the store saving a total of $120.00 off the regular price. We have the receipt to prove it but unfortunately my scanner is not working so i cant post it in this blog for all to see. But you can call any mervyns department store in your area and check my story with them. You really got to get to mervyns NOW before all the good stuff is gone. We bought Levis designer jeans for my son that were normally priced at $20.00 a piece but we paid like $8.00 for quality jeans. Try and find that at your local factory to you store or everything $5.99 store. I guarantee you that you wont! I'll go back on payday and get some things for me.

When we came home my wife was putting everything in the refrigerator and my son grabbed a dozen eggs and dropped them all over the floor. We were both mad at him but we handled the problem quickly. I went to the couch to lay down and watch the news and my son started to get cranky throwing things all over. My wife fed him a bottle of milk and tried to put him to bed but he eventually came back out looking around. I told him, hey, you want mommy? then my said, "Ethan, come to mommy" but he started to cry. Then he climbed on top of my stomach and i thought he will watch his choo choo movie but he fell asleep on me and i was so touched that he miss his daddy and fall asleep on him. Although i don't have a picture of him sleeping on me, i do have some of him and i playing. I hope you enjoy this picture as much as i do. Daddy's little boy.

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8o2EZNKXoFY/STNhOxeEetI/AAAAAAAABA4/TrG-O5xgYC4/s1600-h/walmart.jpg">Did you hear about the walmart worker who died today? I'm just appalled because of the way he died and this didnt have to happen had people act more civilized. I guess there where many shoppers waiting at the door for a long time for the store to open and when it finally did open, he was trampled to death from out of control bargain hunters eager to get in. I think this is ridiculous. I was so mad when i heard about it. Other workers were trampled as they tried to rescue the man, and customers shouted angrily and kept shopping when store officials said they were closing because of the death, police and witnesses said. They didnt even stop to consider the injured man and just kept shopping. That people care more about hoarding material things than to act like civilized people. One person was quoted as saying that the people were acting like savages. Its a shame that this world has stooped to this low. I had to work today but even if i didn't i would have never woke up so early in the morning to wait for the stores to open just so i can get a better deal on a t.v. or computer or something else. Its sad to say that we now live in a society where success is measured by the amount of material wealth one has obtained. Who has the bigger, most bad off road vehicle or suv or house or cell phone. That's just plain crazy. I will never in my life take part in something like this! My prayers go out to the family of this poor man. I'm a Jehovah's witness and we are taught to live a simple life. The authorities say they are looking at store video to try to prosecute those involved in this tragic incident.

This year i have really noticed I'm starting to gain some weight. Not a lot of weight but its definitely noticeable. I guess you could say i probably could stand to lose about 20 pounds. I currently weigh about 240 but that's a Little too much for me. The problem I'm having is trying to lose that 20 pounds. I never had to diet before in my life but after i quit smoking, i noticed that i started eating more and really enjoyed eating all kinds of foods. I even inherited the job as head cook in my family. But i find it so hard to get motivated to exercise these days since i work full time as a bus mechanic in chula vista. By the time i come home I'm so tired and just want to rest. I spoke to my doctor and he told me not to use any of those diet pills because its not good for you. So anybody got any ideas how i can diet without starving myself? please don't hesitate to comment if you got an idea. I appreciate your efforts.

With the economy in a slump and the existing credit crisis, many consumers are having to drastically cut back on their spending habits. This couldn't come at a worser time than with the holidays fast approaching. One of the biggest influences for holiday shoppers this year is going to be the price of gifts. But you don't have to spend a fortune to have a great Christmas holiday because at<span style="color:#3333ff;"> </span><a href="http://socialspark.com/metrics/click/post?slot_id=26563&amp;url=http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;209213533;31067802;u" rel="nofollow"><span style="color:#3333ff;">Kmart</span></a> you can find unbeatable prices on many exclusive brands and products for everyone on your gift list for under $25.00. Kmart is your one stop store for all your holiday shopping. They are even offering free shipping on orders over $49.00. I would like to get the craftsman 18 pc screwdriver set for me because I'm a craftsman club member and i like the quality of craftsman tools. Besides i really could use a new set of screw drivers for my work. And i noticed that they have a craftsman 3.6 volt cordless driver kit so I'm sure my brother-in-law would like something like this. It's portable which is great. One thing my wife always liked was the digital photo frame but now they have made it small enough to fit on your key ring so I'm thinking of buying this for my wife because she loves taking pictures with her camera. Kmart has been providing quality products at low prices to consumers for over 100 years and this year more than ever you'll find great buys for the whole family.<br /><a href="http://ad.doubleclick.net/jump/N2465.SocialSpark/B3154018.12;sz=1x1">

Wow! i drove by the gas station this morning and saw that gasoline had dropped to $2.03. I'm loving it right now. Then on the way home the price dropped to $1.97 a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. I'm sure these prices are only temporary but us consumers we really need something like this because the oil company's are making enough money from us. I just pray that these gas prices will remain low till next year so that when we decide to go to the Philippines the prices of our tickets will not put such a big hole in my wallet. With the holidays fast approaching, now is the time to check your wish list and lock it down with a layaway plan from sears. I think this is a great idea because with the tight economy, many consumers just don't have the cash to pay for everything now. And the timing couldn't be more perfect. I've been planning to get my brother-in-law a new set of mechanics 3/8" standard socket set with some ratchets because he don't have this set. My sister has been wanting a new Timex watch to replace the broken she has so i put her on my list for a new watch. And my wife loves those bath and body cosmetics that sears has on sale all the time so i decided to give her some cosmetics and i want to get her some channel no 5 perfume. She really loves channel products. What i like about the sears layaway program is i can pay a little at a time and be able to fullfill my wish list just in time for the holidays. Thats one less thing i have to worry about. Thanks sears!

I was happy to see that the prop 8 initiative passed with flying colors but now i feel disgusted that there are some people who just don't get it and are staging protest and rallies against this. I firmly believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. I'm a faithful christian of Jehovah's witness and we are taught to follow bible principles. Just like the bible said that their will be signs like we see today with man marrying man and woman marrying woman. Whats next? And if gay marriage is permitted how do you explain to your children that its OK if a man kisses another man? Next thing you know they will make it legal for a man to marry one of his own family. Who knows. The important thing to note is that Jesus Christ said in the bible that these will all be signs of the critical times hard to deal with. The Bible is clear: God does not approve of or condone homosexual practices. He also disapproves of people who “consent with those practicing them.” (<a href="javascript:showCitedScripture(">Romans 1:32</a>) And “marriage” cannot give homosexuality a cloak of respectability. God’s direction that “marriage be honorable among all” precludes homosexual unions, which he considers detestable.—<a href="javascript:showCitedScripture(">Hebrews 13:4.</a> .”— <a href="javascript:showCitedScripture(">Leviticus 18:22</a>.

My wife, son and i just came home from a day at the kingdom hall in Escondido. We had our special assembly this weekend and our souls were spiritually refreshed with important spiritual food. We learned that as Christians, we need to remain humble and to live a simple life because a material life will not create happiness. Well, many material things may give you temporary happiness but later on you will still feel empty inside. And besides, you cant take any of these material things with you when you pass away so what good is it? We learned that we need to store up treasures in heaven, not for this world because the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever.

Well, more bad news came in this week for the economy as the unemployment rate went up to 6.5% which resulted in 1.2 million people without work. And if that wasn't enough to swollow, 2 more banks went belly up and the feds ended up taking over Franklin Bank, a Houston bank with $5.1 billion in assets, and Security Pacific Bank of California, with assets of $561 million, raising the tally of failed banks this year to 19. I feel so sad for all those people who have lost their jobs and their homes. I think about all those people and how their lives have come to a screaching halt all because of the economy. I just have to say i feel so fortunate that i have such a good job and am so fortunate to be able to continue to support my wife and son. Jehovah god really blesses my family and keeps us safe. I was so happy to hear the election results of prop 8 where California overwhelmingly approved 52% yes to 48% no to ban same sex marriage. I truly believe that marriage is between a man and woman only. Even biblically speaking its said that marriage is between a man and woman only and that anything else would be going against our creators principles and shouldn't people be following principles that our creator commanded us to follow anyways? Our Creator established rules governing marriage long before governments began regulating the institution. The opening book of the Bible tells us: “A man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh.” (<a href="javascript:showCitedScripture("><span style="color:#3333ff;">Genesis 2:24</span></a>) The Hebrew word “wife,” according to Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words, “connotes one who is a female human being.” Jesus confirmed that those yoked together in marriage should be “male and female.” (<a href="javascript:showCitedScripture("><span style="color:#3333ff;">Matthew 19:4</span></a>)<br />Thus, God intended marriage to be a permanent and an intimate bond between a man and a woman. Men and women are designed to complement each other so they may be capable of satisfying each other’s emotional, spiritual, and sexual needs and desires. I'm a Jehovah's witness and we are taught strictly by the creator to follow his words "the scriptures" found in the bible "new world translation of the holy scriptures". Its obvious that a majority of the American people voted for traditional marriage and said it with numbers. This restores the law to the way it was meant to be. The well-known Biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah reveals God’s feelings about homosexuality. God declared: “The cry of complaint about Sodom and Gomorrah, yes, it is loud, and their sin, yes, it is very heavy.” (<a href="javascript:showCitedScripture("><span style="color:#3333ff;">Genesis 18:20</span></a>) The extent of their sinful depravity at that time was apparent when two guests visited the righteous man Lot. “The men of Sodom . . . surrounded the house, from boy to old man, all the people in one mob. And they kept calling out to Lot and saying to him: ‘Where are the men who came in to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have intercourse with them.’” (<a href="javascript:showCitedScripture("><span style="color:#3333ff;">Genesis 19:4, 5</span></a>) The Bible says: “The men of Sodom were bad and were gross sinners against Jehovah.”(<a href="javascript:showCitedScripture("><span style="color:#3333ff;">Genesis 13:13</span></a>) “You must not lie down with a male the same as you lie down with a woman. It is a detestable thing.” (<a href="javascript:showCitedScripture("><span style="color:#3333ff;">Leviticus 18:22</span></a>).
