Sometimes I feel that my life is like sand in the wind, where I’m going to land?
New year was just a day after yesterday, life is the same, unsolved issues are the same, life situations are the same.
After 11 days away from work tomorrow I’ll be back to the office, the need for money makes me go back…nothing else, I feel like a prisoner, I might not like being there but I definitely have to go there.
The kids tomorrow are going back to school after a 2 week vacation. I really enjoy being with them at home although I must confess, they drive me crazy, they don’t let me do anything on my own and I feel trapped on my own space. Sometimes I go to the bathroom to have a minute alone but after a few seconds one or the other are knocking at the door, they don’t let me breath. Probably this is because of all the time they spend at school and at daycare when I’m working.
Than I have the older kid, DH. When I have a little moment and want to watch a series or a movie I’m always interrupted by DH who wants sexual attention. Doesn’t he know I like to watch a movie? Where are the times when we watched a movie together in the couch without me bothering with having his hands on my boobs or somewhere else? At night when the kids are asleep and I want to blog a little why do I have to worry that he’s waiting for me in bed for sex? Why does he wake me up at 6am for sex?
When am I going to have some free time? When I die is too late so I have to find a way now, if things don’t change I don’t know…I keep saying how I feel but they don’t care, it seems they rule my life. Do they?
What about you? Do you have trouble controlling your free time?

This should be a daily blog but instead it is turned in a almost weekly blog. I’ve got so much to write about but I end up leaving this blog behind. The reason is very simple. This is a personal blog where I write about personal things. At work I manage to write on my other blogs everytime I have a chance but personal stuff is something I don’t feel comfortable in having on my work computer, therefore I leave this blog to update at home. At home I have my kids always around me and I can’t concentrate so…updating this blog is very difficult.
As this moment my kids are on the floor playing and they call me all the time but I want to write this post.
Last Friday I had Catherine school party and on Sundays daycare party. I really enjoyed both parties and I took a lot of pictures and made a few movies. These movies stressed me out, I lost them and three days later I recovered them, read here for the happy ending.
Santa went to my MIL’s house on Christmas Eve and delivered the presents to all the kids and family. Christmas morning was full of joy with my kids getting up early, opening the presents and playing a lot with them. I took a nap in the afternoon with my daughter while my son was doing a PSP playing-games-marathon. He was super happy with the new PSP and the new games (Clank, Wall-E and Naruto). We spend the day in our pajamas and we repeated it today (of course we bath…).
I’m having difficulty in centering the pictures on this blog, (I’ll try to figure that out some other day), but here are some pictures of our Christmas.

As promised here is our Christmas Tree. No gifts under it because we don’t trust the kids. On the floor we have the too chocolate calendars that they check every day for the daily chocolate. The decorations are the same from the previous years and we decided not to spend money buying new ones this year. As we have no nativity scene because the old one broke, we have a tree withut it but it seems that noone is caring about it…what they want is the Christmas Gifts.

My son will be 10 in February and he still believe Santa Claus exist. The truth is…Santa really exist…in the heart of every child.
Every year my kids write a letter to Santa that we put in the post office. We don’t have a Macy’s store nearby so we can’t deliver it there. You might wonder why would we deliver a letter at Macy’s…
…well Macy’s is running a campaign called Macy’s Believe campaign. All Macy’s stores have a special Santa letterbox. Macy’s will be donating $1 for each letter received to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This holiday season make wishes come true. Share the power of a wish and spread the word.

Determining what baby room furniture is needed for a baby’s room is one of the fun parts of being pregnant. Now imagine if you will multiply that by two, three or sometimes even six. When you have multiples, the particle furniture will often win out over the cute, decorative furniture.
Keep in mind when you are selecting your furniture for your multiples room, what the basic necessities are. For example, cribs, changing table, dresser and rocker. Let’s just assume that you are planning and buying for triplets. You are not going to need three of everything; however there are some items that you can not live without three of.
The first and most expensive item on your list will be the cribs themselves. When selecting your cribs make sure you take into consideration the size as well as shape of your room. You will want to have a plan ahead of time of where you are going to place your furniture.
While you will need three cribs, it is only necessary that you purchase one changing table. If room and/or funds are tight you can go without the dresser altogether for a while, unless you are lucky enough to find a changing table that has a dresser built in. If so then you have turned two baby furniture pieces into one, saving space and money in the long run.
It is better to think with your head when shopping for baby room furniture rather than with your heart. Always keep in mind what the ultimate need is, what is not needed and have a plan before going into the store. As with buying furniture for any other room in the house have a budget in mind and do not go over it, regardless of how cute the furniture is.

Do you remember the Smashies Giveaways I had last month? The winner was Robin and I asked for a review after the Smashies arrived. Well the Smashies arrived at Robin’s house, were sampled and here is the review:
I recently won a case of Smashies and was so excited to try them. Let me say they are wonderful! Not only was it great to have a healthy portable snack,
It was great to have a snack that was not messy. They were so yummy! In my house they were loved not only by the 3 year olds, but also by 40 years old.
I would recommend these to anyone looking for a great tasting healthy snack for kids or adults.
Thank you Smashies for the Giveaway and thank you Robin for the review.

New Year is just a few days ago and resolutions must be made. 2008 was a tough year when talking about money and 2009 is expected to be worse. Spending less money is one of the main objectives of my family. The mortgage is something we can’t control so we have to take a close look to the bills we can do something about.
Having a house, two cars and one motorcycle means several insurances and in 2009 one of the cars must be replaced once the one we have is too old and won’t pass inspection. We have a low insurance because the car never had accidents but it could be lower if the car wasn’t too old, a contradiction, I know.
In 2009 I intend to make a market research and get cheaper insurances. Getting a cheap insurance is something possible nowadays but can I get cheaper than the ones I already have? Well, I hope so. Sites like autoinsurance-4u.com allow us to get a fast quote online. We just have to introduce a few data and the quotes are almost instantly sent to us. No need to leave your home, go from one insurance agency to another asking for quotes in order to get a few cheap auto insurance quotes or home insurance quotes. Online quotes are free, fast and no need to insert detailed personal information.
A great site to look for insurance information is iii.org. This site answers some of our doubts and has tips to help us save money by getting cheaper insurances. I wish I could separate my home insurance from the mortgage and get a insurance package for home and cars, this would allow me to get a special insurance price. Well, it is something I have to look at because saving is the key for a financial good year.

I had a very stressful weekend. The kids are very demanding when it comes to my attention. I thought that the older the more independent but it turns out be the contrary.
My kids want me to be a constant presence in their lives when it comes to play games or just watch TV. If they are going to watch a movie they like, they want me to be next to them, just to be present. If they are playing games I have to participate or if it is a one person game I just have to be there to…watch. All the other activities at home like cooking, laundry, cleaning are seen as enemies.
When I say that I have something else to do, they keep asking me when I will join them, they will do it until I join them. If they are going to watch a movie and I take advantage of that and go the computer they keep calling to say: Look at this scene; Look at that, etc etc.. I end up doing nothing because I can’t concentrate. If I go to another room they end up next to me requiring attention.
This is really tough for me because although I know I have to have my own space and time, the guilty that follows me everyday due to fact that I work full time and spend just a couple of hours a day with them, forces me to give them attention on the weekend.
Now is it Quality Attention I give them? No, sometimes it’s not because I’m not dedicated 100% to them. Most of the time I have in mind that I have to clean, wash, blog, etc.. Do I have to change? Yes, I do. One of my resolutions for 2009 is to try and do everything during week days and leave at least Sunday free for my kids. No cleaning, no blogging, completely off everything.
It’s not going to be easy, sometimes dirty clothes just appear from nowhere and I have to wash it but I’m going to try to avoid that situation. To-Do-List is a priority. I know I’ve said this before but it is a “must” I have to accomplish.
What about you? How do you cope with these situations?

Well I bought my Christmas Gift. I know it’s a little early to receive presents but mine is already here.
When I needed/wanted to take pictures and make small homes videos I would borrow the office digital camera because the one I have is an old Canon, with a 3 minutes lifetime battery and no video. So, I bought a Nikon Coolpix S210 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Brushed Bronze). Finally I have my own digital camera and I can take pictures and do my own videos.
This is not a very sophisticated camera, it’s very simple, but for me it’s enough. I just want it for family pictures and home videos. Who knows if I will make some videos to post here!!
Manufacturer Description
Functional beauty in an alluringly slim body. Packing sophisticated style, advanced functions and high performance into its ultra-slim design, the Coolpix S210 fits comfortably in the hand and simplifies operation.
- 8.1-megapixel resolution for stunning prints as large as 16 x 20 inches
- 3x optical zoom; Electronic VR image stabilization
- 2.5-inch, high-resolution LCD
- In-Camera Red-Eye Fix; enhanced Face-Priority AF automatically focuses on up to 12 faces
- Capture images to SD memory card
The store where I bought it was offering a gift certificate of 25% in all purchases, so I paid €111 and I got $30,99 to use in another purchase. Not bad!!!
I thought about putting it on the Christmas tree but Friday it’s my daughter’s Christmas party and Sunday daycare party so I’m taking advantage of already having the camera and I’m going to use it on those days. I think it’s better that I start recording my family life and my kids once they are growing way too fast.

Being pregnant and preparing for your baby’s arrival is an exciting time. It can also be an overwhelming time. You will feel as though there are just too many things to do and an overwhelming amount of decisions to make. Relax, the baby won’t care, I promise. Know that whatever you choose to do will be right. That being said, you are probably planning a nursery.
A lot of people will start with a color scheme or bedding first. This isn’t the best way. You should start with the baby furniture, most importantly the baby crib. When you head to your local baby store in search of furniture start with the crib and choose the rest of the furniture around it.
A few things to think about while checking the cribs out:
- is it the right size for the room?
- is it convertible (changes to a toddler bed, or a day bed)?
- do the sides go down for easy access?
You don’t want a crib that overwhelms your nursery no matter how cute it is. A convertible crib will last a lot longer making it worth more in the end.
Last, but not least, a movable side can save your back and latter your sanity. If you are of average height for a woman, or shorter, being able to lower the side of a crib will make your back happy when you get the baby out of the crib for the millionth time. It will also make it easier to get to a wiggly older baby when it comes to that. Keep these thoughts in mind as you start on your baby furniture journey. It will help to alleviate some of the stress and keep you on point as you search.
