Featured Everyone must see this
113 Words : Posted 05.22.08

Whatever you do today, watch this movie... It will take 7 minutes of your life, but believe me, it ' s worth it... Not only would the amount of sun - burned people go down drastically, but the world would definitely be a much better place... I see this once every day now, just to remind myself... And don ' t forget the sun screen... … View Post »

Wii
502 Words : Posted 05.22.08

I ' m down with the flu, and I was going to visit a friend today... That certainly didn ' t happen, seeing that I had a fever... =3 It ' s really unbelievable how fun it can be to move a stick around in the air... Or a steering wheel, seeing that we played Mario Kart first... I actually remembered some of the tracks from Mario Kart 64, even though I ' ve never owned a Nintendo gadget in my life... It took some time to get used to steer the bike / car by movement, but after a while, you really get used to it... It actually seems like I ' ve got this tennis deal pretty good... Not that there is much realism in how you beat the ball in Wii Sports Tennis, but still... The fact that the only thing I really did was swinging my stick around wildly, is also nothing we should think too much about... the screen, or the two boys thrusting their sticks towards the telly... They lasted only one round, though... My buddy only had two remotes to his Wii, so we couldn ' t play three player... It isn ' t just to thrust your stick around at about the right time, you ' ll have to move it in the right direction at the right speed... The right speed depends on which bat you ' re using, how strong and what direction the wind blows, and how far away the hole is... I almost got hit in the face by the controller several times... Sadly, my buddy had to go to work tomorrow, so he had to go home to get some sleep... … View Post »

I passed D
145 Words : Posted 05.18.08

I had my last exam this year on Tuesday this week... I don ' t really know how well it went, but seeing that I sneaked a peek on the desk of the people having the exams, I know I got a D / E on the first one... My hopes on a good grade isn ' t really an issue, as long as I ' ll pass... Passing means I ' ll qualify for university college this fall... And gave me a slightly annoyed boyfriend, seeing I spent more than four times the amount I was supposed to... … View Post »

Megaphone Music
88 Words : Posted 05.18.08

I just found this great band on MySpace... After what I ' ve heard during the fifteen minutes I ' ve spent listening to their music clips, I can say that the music is great... And the vocalist even got a great voice!... Most of the time it doesn ' t, though... … View Post »

The Annual Family Reunion and Even More Exams
512 Words : Posted 05.11.08

Yesterday I decided to actually go to the annual family reunion... You see, my family goes to this old family farm every year to lit a huge bonfire and eat a Norwegian speciality: Rakfisk... Which is, weirdly enough, rotten salmon or trout... I can ' t think of any reason anyone should eat it, but the rest of the family seem to enjoy it... Most of them had not seemed to get that I had dropped out of school, so I had to explain why I dropped out, and what I am doing now, several times... But, apart from spacing out a couple of times to get some" private time", I did pretty well... I had to spend the night at my dad ' s house, because the buses are twice as expensive during night than during daytime... I ' m still not convinced about it being better than San Andreas in my opinion... Sure, the graphics were stunning, and it ' s all more, well," realistic" and such, but I ' m used to the older game... Even gaming chicks might love to kill off some people once in a while... Not in real life, mind you... No, some animals doesn ' t count under this personal rule... Fish, for example. ) I had decided the night before that I was to leave for home around noon... On Tuesday, I ' ll have my last exam this year: Oral gymnastics... Seeing that the exam last week went fairy well, I hope this one goes better... First, I needed to go to the bank to get the account for the gaming club I am an accountant for... … View Post »

We are so poor we have to light the road lights during the day
197 Words : Posted 05.10.08

I was on my way to my philosophy course yesterday, and what did I see?... Especially to make better roads, make enough kindergartens, fix schools so the inside climate is good enough for studying, make sure the elders get dignified care when they ' re too old to take care of themselves, make sure both the mental and physical health care works as it should and so on... But to spend extra on electricity because they won ' t bother to turn off the lights when it ' s mid - day and sunny, that ' s obviously okay... Well, we do use water power in Trondheim, so pollution isn ' t really an issue here, but still... I mean, if they seem to want to use the money on something pointless, why couldn ' t they give the" extra" money to me, instead on wasting them on something utterly pointless?... … View Post »

Of studying and Ally McBeal
424 Words : Posted 05.05.08

I have this gymnastics exam coming up the day after tomorrow... And I can ' t seem to actually sit down and study... You see, seeing that I failed gymnastics as a subject in High School, I ' ll have to go through this written exam in gymnastics to get into University College... Next year I ' m going to start my food tech major, see... I ' m going to have a bachelor degree in food technology... Tomorrow, I ' m going to this museum with my social group... My anxiety is way too strong to keep a job, see, so I ' ve joined this group that will help me get out of my apartment every weekday... I were going to go on Thursday, but he didn ' t have time to see me then, and the only time he can see me this week... … View Post »

Iron Man After the movie
338 Words : Posted 05.01.08

I found out that digging the pathway had given me severe back troubles, so I sat more still that I probably should, but I ended up having a great time anyways... I had painted my face to look like Iron Man ' s mask from the movie, using reference pictures I found online, and Boyfriend had dressed like Tony Stark without the Iron Man costume ( in other words, he put on his most expensive suit and walked around pretending to drink whiskey )... There were, like, three other than us that had a real costume, and two who wore Iron Man t - shirts and got them passed as a costume, so the cinema decided that everyone would get one ticket for the lottery, while we in costume got five each... Yup, that ' s me, in my Iron Man makeup, with my prize... Never mind the freak - ish look in my eyes - the makeup had dried, and my face was really uncomfortable... … View Post »

Iron Man Before the movie
92 Words : Posted 04.30.08

I ' m really excited right now... I ' m going to see Iron Man in a few hours, and they have this costume competition, where not the best costume win, but everyone in a costume gets a ticket for a lottery with Iron Man merchandise... Of course I ' m going to do something, so I ' ll paint my face in red and yellow... … View Post »

Change of plans and surprises
136 Words : Posted 04.29.08

Well, I didn ' t go back to reading after all... After putting the clothes to dry, I cleaned up some of the living room, and then I went out to tend the lawn for the spring... A stone pathway through the lawn to the parking lot, hidden under about half an inch of dirt and grass... I then spent about an hour to dig out this pathway, seeing that it ' s the way we have to walk to get to our mailbox / parking lot ( we don ' t even have a car, but hey. )... … View Post »
