I am sure all of you are pretty excited with my contest announcement. Well, you should be because I am announcing the winners today!
But before anything else, I would like to apologize for the delay. First, I was trying to take a snapshot of the entire result but my computer was running low in memory. So, I have to close all the other programs that were running and try to snapshot again but alas! My snapshot program could not take the entire result. That’s why I was left with no choice but to take a snapshot of what was only visible. Doing so will require small amount of memory from my PC. Second, I was not able to post immediately because I have to install two WP blogs and migrate their posts from blogger. Third, I was really busy the whole day yesterday. I was finishing the template makeover at Blogs Haven – a SEO friendly blog directory. Forth, I have to attend to my husband’s needs because he has to go to work. Hope you forgive me now.

Yesterday, I was able to access my blog. I read some comments and approved them. After awhile, I went to bed because I was not able to sleep the whole night. I bumped into some problems with my hosting business because the server’s data got fried causing all blogs that I hosted to be down.
When I woke up, I could still see blog since I didn’t turned off my PC but when my friend told me she was having a hard time finding my contest posts. I checked and looked for my post URL, and that is when I noticed that I couldn’t access my blog. But when I use a proxy site, I could access it. So, I waited for a few hours maybe all it needed was a little clearing and all but when I returned, it was still down at my side. It got me a little frustrated, so I did all the basic troubleshooting remedy but still I couldn’t see my blogs.
Then I remembered that sometimes when I am using our internet router, I am getting connection problems. Since my hubby is not using the internet, I detached my connection from the router and went direct. There at last I was able to access my blogs.
Anyway, I know it’s really frustrating when you couldn’t access your blog that is why I am monitoring the problems that happened with my blog hosting business. Though it was beyond my control, I still worry because a bad reputation may ruin my business and I don’t want that to happen.
Now, it’s already 12:00pm and I am still awake. The whole night I was thinking of a better solution for this problem. I have decided to leave that data center and charge everything to experience. The money that was lost was hard earned and I was not able to regain it back, even just for the capital that I have put up. But of course I will not leave my clients! They are my friends too and I don’t want them hanging. So, I bought a new domain name for my new blog hosting business in a new server. I know there is no such thing as a perfect hosting but I believe there are reliable ones. Maybe later this evening, after I get some rest, I would be able to re-launch my blog hosting business again. I pray that this new data server would be more reliable. As for my old domain name, I have thought of a better way to use it. I will announce it soon after I set it up. Something that will definitely help fellow bloggers like us.
One of the best things when you are blogging with WordPress is that you get to browse hundreds of free themes online. Though it’s really nice to see beautiful themes with multi-functionality, but just to be honest…I am a little frustrated here! I couldn’t find the perfect base theme for my blog.
If I hire somebody to make one for me, that would be utterly so expensive. So, any of you guys could help me? I have seen almost every FREE WordPress themes online. Do any of you have an idea where I can get nice base themes? I would love to have something like this but I could put another space on top of my sidebars. Well, I have seen some but they don’t have the author link, category links and date. Some have a very crowded footer. I am looking for a simple, cute and ad space optimized theme.

Yes! I finally made the transition. Pinay Mommy Online is now running under a WordPress platform. My blog is already self-hosted and my domain name transferred to my own GoDaddy account.
If some of you noticed, I was down for a few hours because of the transition that occurred. I made some changes with my nameservers and installed WordPress 2.7.
Anyway, a bad thing happened while I was importing my posts and comments. Some of them were not imported. Out of 1200 plus posts, only 1100 plus were imported and out of 3000 plus comments, 2900 plus survived. The importer tool at WordPress is limited that is why some did not make it. With this, I apologize for the loss of some comments. There are some circumstances that are beyond my control. I am not that techie yet when it comes to WordPress. I am really sorry.
Since I haven’t slept the whole night, I need to close my eyes for a moment. I will be back blogging a little later. See yeah around!
