Being a single parent requires a lot of courage and patience. You should be flexible since you act as both the mother and father to your kid. Although it is very fulfilling, I can't help but feel alone sometimes. There were moments when I thought what my life would have been have I opted to marry before. But then the freedom I have now would always overrule those thoughts.
So whenever I feel bored, I usually get online and find some interesting Single Parent Chat Rooms. I found one that is totally cool and 100% free membership. There you can talk to various single parents all over the world via webcam and share your special thoughts and interest.
But now that I have Shushu by my side, I stopped chatting to other men (except my father and brothers LOL). Still I encouraged those single parents out there who haven't found the man or girl of their dreams yet, who knows, you might just find him or her there.
It's a brand new year everyone, welcome 2009! I have very good vibes this year, it feels fresh and promising. The future seems so bright and holds a lot of good things to come. Of course challenges will be there, but life would be so dull without them right? And trials do make us tough.
My new year's resolutions include (but not limited to LOL) becoming a more responsible and better blogger friend, cut on my sleeping time ( I'll never sleep more than 8 hours a day, PROMISE!), and spend most of my free time chatting with Jamjam.
Wishing all of us the best of 2009 can offer...
I know this post came a bit late. I've been trying to access the internet lately, and it's so sad we don't have the connection. It's the most wonderful time of the year, and I'm disconnected! Sorry to all my blogger friends if I was not able to visit and greet you on time. I'll do my best to set-up a new connection, for the new year.
Hope you had a great time celebrating the Christmas, and I wish the same for the coming New Year. Join me in thanking the Almighty God for the bountiful blessings we received this 2008, it has been a very fruitful and productive one. May all of us have the blessings we deserve all year round this 2009.
With the advent of high technologies nowadays, the number of prank callers also sky rocketed. There are people who uses their intelligence to get on to ones' private data such as bank account and credit card numbers, email addresses, and phone numbers! Isn't it wonderful if you will know where and from who those calls come from, rather than just a phone with No Call List Information?
Well worry no more, whosnumberisthat.com provides phone number trace where you can actually type the phone number in their website, and they will practically know the caller for you. Isn't that a relief?

Only a few hours away and boom, it's Christmas day already! We celebrated Advent, a kind of preparation, to cleanse our hearts, for the coming of the Savior. Have you ever asked yourself if you're ready for the coming of Jesus? Have you forgiven those people who have hurt you, and have you asked forgiveness to the ones you have hurt too?
Well, the true essence of Christmas is love, and with that comes along forgiveness, peace, and happiness. I believe in my heart that I'm ready for Christmas, just a little sad that I'm away from my family. Christmas time is family time, how I wish we are all together to celebrate it.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone! A Blessed & Happy New Year too!
Everyday should be Christmas in our hearts for it is the season for giving and sharing the blessings that we received throughout the year . And receiving gifts with personal touch is more meaningful than receiving cash or cheque perhaps. It's the thought that counts, they said. And indeed, it is very true that whereas we need money this holiday season, personalized holiday gifts give warmth to our hearts. Money can never buy happiness.
So when you are shopping for gifts this Christmas, make sure you check one of these high technology gadgets you can find only at Pexagon.
Not only they are stylish, you can design it according to your taste and to the one you want to give it to. And to add icing to the cake, you can print their names and addresses so it will look highly personalized. There will be no doubt as to whom they belong!
I have visited their site, and I just can't wait to have one of those! I have my eyes specifically on that red personalized thumb drive with the Yuletide season's prints, plain lovely it is! How I wish somebody will give me one of those amazing gadgets this Christmas. They are definitely on my wish list!
Last week, we had our Christmas Party at work. It was a quick one since it's not everybody's off, some are still doing the night duty. We just had a little talk, ate a lot (LOL), and exchanged gifts. To my greatest dismay, I wasn't able to receive mine due to the fact that the one who picked my name is on annual vacation. She just came back the other day.
Then I was so happy this morning, coz finally I had it in my hand, my gift from Santa, and they are very nice ones. Really it's worth the wait...Thanks so much Blessy!
When I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a great lawyer one day. I love watching lawsuit movies such as A Time To Kill, The Runaway Jury, The Jury and countless more. I have attended few hearings myself during my college days (most of them my mom was called by the court to answer for unpaid debts LOL). I love the look and feel of the courtroom, but I was guided through a different career, which by the way, I fell in love with.
Can you imagine how frightening it would be if you are the defendant of a lawsuit? And a criminal one may I point out. You need to be strong against all odds, to face the prosecutors, the judge, and the jury. And for you to feel secure and have a goodnight sleep, you need to have top-rating attorneys to win your case. I guess the people of Los angeles, California has nothing to worry about because they have the best of Los Angeles Criminal and DUI Defense Attorneys in town!
With more than 50 years of experience in criminal defense, the lawyers at Kestenbaum, Eisner & Gorin, LLP will never let you down. So whenever you find yourself on the defensive side, go take a look at their site. Then you know that you will be in good hands.
Merry Christmas! When I was still in the Philippines, I never thought that I can celebrate Christmas season the usual way (with Christmas trees & beautiful lights, and most especially attend Simbang Gabi). Since U.A.E. is an Islamic country, I was resigned to celebrating my Christmas alone and without the merriment the holiday season brings.
But contrary to what I thought, Christmas is celebrated here freely, to my greatest joy! Me, Shushu, and my friends attended the mass tonight, and the church was overflowing with Filipinos. It's like I'm just in my home country. And the air was filled with peace and joy. I hope every day is Christmas day.
Let’s face it, everybody is a kid at heart. And every kid got a wish list that will be revealed only at Christmas time. As for me, my all-time wish list is for my family to be safe, healthy, and happy always. And that we will be together for a very long time.
Every holiday season, we always make sure to take great pictures. Pictures are the windows of our past, be it happy or funny ones, or it could be one of those ugly and sad moments. We take careful measures to preserving them so as to make them last from generation to generation, for our kids and grandkids to cherish. And what better way than to put it in a durable yet fashionable frames? I’ve found CEIVA Digital Photo Frame on the internet. And I’m sure you'll gonna like it just as I did. And what’s more they have exciting and enjoyable offers. Just visit their site to have the chance to sit on Santa’s lap. All you need to do is submit a photo of you and type your name and your wish, and Santa and his elves will do the magic! But of course Santa will never forget to check if you’ve been good all year round, so you can never cheat.
After all the fun in seeing yourself sit on Santa’s lap, don’t forget to join the sweepstakes, not only they make your wish come true, they’re also giving away more exciting prizes everyday. Really being good the whole year pays off. So hurry and don’t miss the chance!
got a wish
Got this very sweet and romantic tag from my dear blogger friend Madz, and I just can't resist doing it! I just hope I can make it as sweet and romantic as her post LOL...
Can you remember the day you first met your hubby?
Yes. It was a lovely summer night. It was his birthday celebration (he celebrated it way too late LOL). We were introduced by a common friend, I can never forget that night. A night filled with fun, a night which lead to a very beautiful and promising relationship where faithfulness and honesty are the basic foundation. Amidst cultural and religious differences, I have strong faith that this love could survive, against all odds!
When was that? (doesn't have to be specific)
May 1, 2008 (oh di ba labor day kaayo, and very specific!)
First impression.
He's such a very sweet, caring, and happy guy.
Were you attracted to him?
YES. YES. YES. But I made sure not to show it, coz he was linked to another friend, and I don't want to cause problem. I didn't know he was attracted to me too, until that friend of mine stop talking to me anymore, whew! (I'm so glad we're all okay now and back to being friends.)
Were you friends before he became your bf?
Yes, about a few weeks LOL. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to copy those photos when we were still friends.
What was the sweetest thing he did for you?
He made my 28th birthday so memorable, it brought tears of happiness into my eyes.
What are the things about him that you are thankful for?
His honesty and faithfullness. Really, I thought I could never believe a guy could be so loyal to a woman, never thought I could trust a man fully with my heart, but I guess I thought wrong. He love me so much I could feel it in my bones. A woman can never get so lucky. So glad I am.
**Now the rules are simple.
1. Pick your sweetest picture when you were still friends and post it on top of the questions and answers.
2. Another pic now that you are together post it after the questions.
3. Share to how many friends you like.
4. Enjoy doing it c:
5. Let your hubby read it too!
Now I'm tagging all my friends who are still deeply inlove with their hubbies. And even those who are not anymore, try to rekindle the romance, who knows this may lead to something wonderful. Never stop believing in love...
The Yuletide season is really in the air. I just love Christmas! My manager let us choose between Christmas & New Year, which would we prefer to have off from work. And I said definitely Christmas! Though how I wished I took a salary advance too, what with giving gifts to my family and friends. In this time of year we really need an instant cash help, and I mean instant…immediate…urgent.
Then I came to know about Yellow Leaf Financial which offers instant cash advance, payday loans, and personal loans in a flash! And what’s more, it’s just a click away, right in the comfort of your own couch.
Really, Yellow Leaf Financial is like an angel, just when you needed them most.
Wow are you really 26 now? My, you get old fast huh? I could still remember spanking you everytime you did some naughty pranks with me and our little sister. Well, I guess life is just like that, speeding fast and unstoppable.
Ric you know you're very special and dear to me. So I wish you all the best life can offer. I know that you're happy now with your family, and I'm so happy for you too. It's just that we missed you a lot, you living so far away from us and all.
Just stay healthy and safe and happy always. Knowing that, I'll be at peace. I love you my little bro!
Hey guys, I know I've been a very lousy blogger lately, and I apologize if I haven't been able to visit your blogs and see what's hip & new with you. It's beyond hectic, no word would suffice to describe this past weeks.
I'm torn with processing my documents for the DOHMS examination, to the pressures and demands of my work, and of course my Shushu won't let himself get behind. Whew, I just hope that after all these I'll emerge a winner. Then all of the hardships and trials will be all worth it.
When I was in high school, I was the 2nd Batallion Commander. I just loved everything about it. From the trainings, hazings (mild though), lectures, marching exercises, and most of all the gears!. If you want to look respectful, you need to dress up carefully from head to toe. No wonder I almost joined the ROTC in my college days, but my father didn't just allow it. He insisted that I should give more attention to my studies.
So I contented myself with watching war movies and attending batallion or regimental exercises. I always admire the air of authority every men in uniform possesses. And I kept on thinking how do they manage to look that great despite of the fact that they're busy with trainings and exercises. Then I came to know about several shops which are designing uniforms and army boots that could withstand tough times. One of them is WorkBootsUSA, they are selling tactical boots that could resist even the toughest training whatever the climate maybe. I know that being in the army is quite a tough job, so you need tough gears to survive.
Well if you do need tough boots at friendly prices, you gotta come visit this site. It will be worth your time and money.
On the one hand, past efforts are bearing fruit and you're on the receiving end of exciting opportunities. On the other, you'll be contending with unexpected twists and demands that seem harsh, if not unfair. Deal with both as they arise, they'll prove amazingly informative.
Usually your knack for thinking fast and being decisive is one of your greatest strengths. Now, however, if you act in haste or commit before asking enough questions, you'll cause yourself problems. Explore your options and address any dramatic changes later.
Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)
Ordinarily adopting a cautious approach to offers that seem too good to be true would be wise. But these are as worthwhile as they seem and with the current swift pace, if you don't at least indicate you're interested now, what's arisen could vanish as fast as it appeared.
Whether it's changes in the lives of those closest influencing your life or exciting new alliances, even chaotic developments are actually breakthroughs. Knowing that, focus on what you'd like to gain from new arrangements, then explore the options with others.
Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
Balancing time spent with loved ones and on pursuits you adore with obligations is always challenging. But now you're also exploring new options. Try them out; they could turn out to be a dream come true, although not necessarily in the form you expected.
Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)
Obviously you'd rather know exactly what you're getting involved in. But things are moving too fast and circumstances are changing too often for such details to be meaningful or lasting. When it comes to decision-making, trust your instincts for the most reliable insights.
Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)
When developments are as stunning as those currently streaming through your life there's no point debating them. If changes need to be made – as is likely with so much around you in transition – just deal with issues as they arise.
Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)
The fact that you're such a creature of habit is no surprise, since of the heavenly bodies, your ruler Pluto changes signs least frequently. Consequently, you'll need time to adjust to the changes triggered by its move into the sensual, practical Capricorn on the 27th.
Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
The recent new moon highlighted issues about what works in your life and your unrealised dreams. This is perfect timing; with Pluto's departure from your sign eliminating obstacles you've struggled with, the world is suddenly a much friendlier place.
Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
The influence of Pluto's recent arrival in your sign is like a new season, which brings gradual, sometimes indefinable but profound changes. Understand that and instead of wasting time analysing unfamiliar situations take things as they come.
Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
By now you've undoubtedly realised that with elements of the world around you and the lives of others changing, you need to make changes as well. While some are rather exciting, others seem the source of pointless disruption. Just give everything a try.
Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
If you notice a new trend in your life, that's no surprise. Existing burdens are vanishing enabling you to focus on the best way to take advantage of your options. Others may be in a hurry to make decisions but you owe it to yourself to explore everything.
As a driver, I've witnessed devastating car crashes before. I even had a car crash accident which I never wanted to remember anymore. It was just horrible, not to mention financially exhausting.
Every crash means cash. So if you ever find yourself in such a situation, never hesitate to turn to Collision Repair Experts (just type auto body shops corona in your web browser), you can surely rely on them on your auto body repair needs.
If you need more information, you can visit their user-friendly website, they even provide you an online map for their location so you'll never get lost!
Don't be alarmed by my title, I didn't break up with my bf or anything, just to give a little drama to what's happening with my life right now LOL. Anyway, I really am moving on to another accommodation, Al Mabrooka Building to be exact. It's still in the same area where I live (Al Qusais). And from what I know about it, it's a nice building (though old). It has larger rooms and wide living room.
Truthfully I'm sad, because I'm already well-adjusted in my home after residing here for almost 9 months (Miramar Building) and my flatmates are nice and friendly (I'll surely miss them!). But anyway, life is constantly changing. You have to be flexible to survive, and that's what I mean to do.
I'll be posting new photos of my new home. I'm supposed to transfer either today or tomorrow, so I'll just keep you posted my friends! Wish me luck...
I have been getting lots of unregistered phone calls lately. Most of them wrong number who called me up in the middle of my deep sleep all the way from India! It's really irritating especially if the caller doesn't know the meaning of telephone etiquette! And believe me, most of them doesn't.
So if you ever been pestered by anonymous phone calls, I suggest you Report Annoying Callers. Aside from that, there's a great new site where you can look up phone numbers and trace who they are. You can also read lots of commentaries from people who experienced the same annoying situations as you. It's very helpful and informative, and to top it all...it is for free!
Got this test from my dear friend Michelle (I've always loved her tests), and I really had a great time knowing that I don't spell that bad. Take the time to know your spelling capabilities too!
Your Common Spelling Mistake Score: 90% Correct
Your spelling is excellent.
You don't fall for common spelling pitfalls, and you spell almost everything correctly.
Everybody is complaining about worrying changes. Yet with your canny ability to spot trends, you're already noticing the influence of the far more agreeable planetary activity that begins this week. The trick, therefore, is to focus on worthwhile ideas and offers.
***There's really no point in pondering unworthy ideas. Since I got here I've been looking at the positive side of my current situation, and honestly it helped me get through some major bumps in my life. To obtain success is to be optimistic and proactive. Dare to be different and true!
Aries (Mar 20 - Apr 18)
Just when it seemed familiar elements of your life were falling apart, unexpected developments saved the day. Welcome as these are, don't assume things will go back to the way they were. Frank discussions highlight changes that need to be made.
Taurus (Apr 19 - May 19)
Obviously when shake-ups disrupt your life restoring order becomes a priority. First, however, you should question and access whether those arrangements are still appropriate for the person you've become and your future direction.
Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)
Frank conversations and emotional dramas with those you care about don't seem appealing. But each demolishes either a past misunderstanding or issues that are currently obstructing you. Knowing this, ask tough questions and clear the air.
Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
Your loyalty and capacity to sustain unshakeable commitments may be a virtue. However, this cycle's often dramatic shifts require far greater flexibility even in situations you regard as unchanging. However, you can transform and retain some of them.
Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 21)
Revelations are surprising if not worrying. Still if you undertake necessary changes you'll realise that even challenging developments are only shaking up restrictive arrangements. Better yet, this alerts you to the cycle of thrilling opportunities that begins this week.
Libra (Sep 22 - Oct 22)
For ages you've been diplomatically avoiding issues you've known would upset others. Sidestepping these has caused confusion and held back progress. So when Venus' encounter with Pluto forces these out in the open be uncharacteristically blunt.
Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 20)
Both past experience and a wariness of certain individuals might justify caution in revealing your feelings. Now, however, pivotal situations triggered by Wednesday's encounter between Venus and Pluto bring such matters to a head. Speak frankly.
Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
Others are making decisions you're unhappy about. Ordinarily you'd battle to do things your way. However, these are temporary and clear the way for astonishing and unexpected opportunities triggered by Jupiter's potent alliance with Saturn on the 21st.
Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
You can cope with challenges as long as you understand the reasons behind them. But what you're facing makes no sense. Be patient. The stunning planetary activity of November's last half will clarify why some of what's familiar must go.
Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
Disruptive as recent events have been, if you followed your instincts that indicated they were for the best, then you'll have no trouble with this week's developments. The changes will take you in unfamiliar but worthwhile directions; simply go with the flow.
Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 19)
When others object to your ideas or plans listen carefully to their reasons and you'll learn a great deal. Things are changing and since it's impossible for any single individual to keep up with everything, discussions with others could prove hugely informative.
COURTESY OF FRIDAY MAGAZINE, GULF NEWS.
I got this tag from a great blogger friend Michelle. It's all about sharing 7 facts or secrets when we're still teenagers. Wheew time fly so fast, it seems like yesterday that I had my debut and now I'm on my way to my thirtees! Well, here are the few facts that I remember during my teenage time:
1. My bestfriend's name is Dimple, and she's still my bestfriend until now yippee! (Actually we nearly parted ways over a guy LOL good thing we got past through it, we both realized he didn't worth that much!).
2. It was my great dream to become a beauty queen (some dreams don't come true though LOL).
3. I was the 2nd Batallion Commander in our Philippine Military Training during high school. (I roar like a lion!)
4. I was addicted to roller skating. It made me feel like I was flying!
5. I had a great high school experience!
6. I had my first real kiss @ 17.
7. I had appendectomy and it's the worst pain ever I experienced!
