It ' s that time of year when Wives, Girlfriends, Mother ' s and Daughter ' s are trying to figure out what to get the man in their life for Christmas... When we bought our house 2 yrs ago the first thing my husband did was run CAT 5 wiring through out the whole house... I admit it about 75% of the time I tune my husband out... The man tends to rattle on about the most obscure shit and my brain begins it ' s self protection by tuning him out... I just spent a lovely hour and a half in the library of my old school... The sad thing about it, the freaking place looks EXACTLY the same... As I sat there and listened to the presentation about why I should send my child to their school, I was struck by the fact that 24 yrs ago my mother and father sat in those very same seats contimplating the samething I was... I wonder if they were shaking in the boots at the prospect of sending their baby off into the big bad world of high school?... Good times good times... It is hard to imagine that soon my baby boy will be entering the same hallowed halls that I walked for four amazing years... He will sit in the very same classrooms where I learned about that math was not my strong suit... You can sleep while sitting up and most important of all this is a time in your life that you will look back on fondly, with a slice of regret... … View Post »
