Man oh man, I am so pissed right now... Okay, so what is the problem then right... my husband and a friend at work swap out their leftovers sometimes... That is no problem except now my husband takes a boatload of extra food to work EVERY day just to swap and leaves me nothing... Then, this morning I had 3 pieces of corn on the cob laid out to prepare tonight with a meatloaf I plan to make... There were also two LARGE containers of leftover mexican casserole I had made last night... Honestly each container had way more than enough to feed two men... It has been 6 years since I have saw either of my two sisters because we all live so far apart, have children, careers, etc. Last Wednesday my younger sister Denise arrived with my 2 nieces Lauren and Savannah... We spent time on the beach, played basketball, handball, croquet, spent time on the beach at our lakehouse, shopped till we dropped, etc. On their last night here (Saturday) we built a huge bonfire down on the beach and toasted marshmallows and made smores... A lot of people lose all their hair during Chemo... : - ( Anywhooo, I decided to start wearing a wig when I wanted that full body look, lol... The photo above is me of course but I am wearing my first wig!... I had to go into the hospital again on Monday of this week for another blood and platelette transfusion... It was not as low as last time, but still it was way below the norm... I am home again as of today and feeling great... Am heading down to the lakehouse tomorrow night for the holiday weekend... … View Post »

Geeez, didn ' t realize it had been so long since I posted a blog... My platelette count was down to 4 and mine is sually about 110... My white blood cell count was down to 1.2 and mine is usually around 15... So now, the power port inside my chest is infected and Home Healthcare nurses will be by tomorrow to show me how to administer an antibiotic through an IV for the next 7 days... My living room looks like a hospital room now EXCEPT I have no bed in it... My son came home for a few days from Iraq and that was awesome... … View Post »

The MRI's on my spine and cervical area came back clean, however the brain MRI did not... It showed that I had two tumors, one on the right side of my brain and one in the back... The biopsy showed that the lymph nodes in my neck were cancerous... On April 9th, I had brain surgery via of the Gamma Knife method...
