Being that the holidays are upon us, what better time than to write about some of the things I want to do this holiday season. One of the things I really want to do is travel. I have done a little traveling during the holidays in the past, but not much. Winter is my favorite time to travel up north, though because of the snow. We don’t get a lot of that around here.
A winter vacation is well deserved for us. Eric and I have both been working hard and a friend of mine had said he wanted to take a sort of mini vacation and would be willing to split the cost with us. The first place that came to mind when I thought of vacationing is Branson, Missouri. Our family had their family reunion there over the summer and it was so much fun then.
There are some really awesome winter packages offered this year both the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel that I’d absolutely love to check out. The Hiltons of Branson put together some really awesome themed packages this time of year.
The "It’s a Wonderful Life" package runs from November 15 through December 23 and offers shopping, spa treatments, entertainment and tons of discounts at many of the local shops and restaurants for starting at $329 a night. The whole deal sounds wonderful, but I’m not sure Eric would like that one as much. There’s also the "Santa’s Coming to Town" package for those with kids (me). That one also runs from November 15 through December 23, which is good for me because although I do want to travel I’d like to be home for Christmas. With this themed package children get to enjoy Story Time with Mrs. Claus and then Santa will personally deliver milk, cookies and presents to the guest’s rooms. This one is a bit cheaper too, starting at $189 per night, so it’s more affordable.
Branson is a really fun place to visit. When I went there last we got to check out several neat places. We visited a wax museum, which was cool because some of those things actually looked so real. I also loved the Titanic museum and Silver Dollar City which is a really fun theme park. Next time we visit Branson, whether it is actually this winter or otherwise I plan on taking Eric on the Ride the Duck Tour. It’s cool because you ride on this bus like vehicle through the city and then suddenly the vehicle drives right into the water and becomes a boat! I just think he’d love that so much.
Anyway, I’m not 100% that we’re going to go there this year but I do know that I want to go somewhere or do something, just to get away for a bit. It’s been a real hectic year.

Well, I spent the last couple of hours organizing my categories in Wordpress. I’m having organizational OCD at the moment, which means I want things to be a certain way. I get this way sometimes, and I think it’s some sort of coping mechanism or something, I’m not sure. Either way, when something bad happens in my life I usually tend to get this way.
I had way too many categories, though.. over 100. Now I’m down to like 12. Twelve isn’t too bad. I converted all of the categories I deleted into tags first, and then I downloaded this plugin called Tag Managing Thing and converted, merged and deleted tons of categories. It’s much cleaner looking now and not so hectic. I think I’ll do it with my other blogs too.
I’m also thinking about adding a tag cloud or something like that to the sidebar. Still not sure about that. I guess no one really cares about what I’m doing on my website though. LOL. I don’t really care what most people are doing on theirs. >_<

While you’re there, register to become a Savoury Moments Member for a Bonus PIN to enter the Make It Like Mama Giveaway, also!
There is one grand prize, which is a $20,000 Kitchen Makeover and eight secondary prizes including a refrigerator/freezer, an electric range, a microwave or a dishwasher. It’s really simple, and the reward is well worth the teeny little effort it takes to visit the site with your PIN.
I would absolutely LOVE to win a $20,000 Kitchen Makeover. That would be so great. I love to cook and I could do so much with a customized kitchen. The only problem is that I don’t live in Canada so I am not eligible. Maybe I should move!

Okay, I thought this was worth sharing. From November 16 through the 23rd you can use this $15 Off printable Coupon at The Limited, either in-store or online. The coupon is good for $15 off of no minimum purchase, $30 off of $100 purchase, or $50 off $150 purchase at The Limited! Just remember, if you use the coupon online you’ll be charged for shipping.
I recommend just going in and grabbing an item or a few items that equal up to $15. You’ll get the items free, and just have to pay sales tax! The Limited is one of my favorite stores, so I can definitely put this coupon to good use!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Popstation. All opinions are 100% mine.
Everyone has dreams. Some people dream of being doctors, some want to be a lawyer, a teacher, an actress, and some dream of becoming a singer or pop star. Many people are successful in realizing their dreams. You’ve just got to decide what you want and then go for it. Sometimes places like PopStation can help with that.
Popstation is not only a record company but also an online network that can help aspiring singers become showcase their talent and launch their careers in the music industry. You can register for free and create a profile. You can also record songs and enter them onto the the Popstation Charts. You don’t have to use the site to record, and if you choose not to you can still listen to music and vote on songs already on the Charts, any one who chooses to participate in any way on the Popstation website is only available to registered members but non-members can view the website.
Anyway, how Popstation works is after someone becomes a member they can browse through the selections of original Popstation songs and then rehearse the song in the practice rooms. There are printable lyrics, and members can rehearse with or without the pre-recorded vocals. After rehearsing, if the artist feels ready to record, they can download the instrumental track and music recording software. Once the song is recroded, the artist can upload the song and an image if they would like to. Songs are then automatically entered into the Popstation Charts where they are ranked depending on how many votes they get. So if you are an artist and you decide to record a song, you can promote your song.
Every song will be in the competition for 35 days, which is 5 weeks. Every winner will receive some type of digital award and the number one artists are given the chance to win their own Popstation record deal!

My friend Steph sent me this via e-mail yesterday. I think it’s funny.
1. I think part of a best friend’s job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn’t want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I’m pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
9. I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t at least kind of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren’t going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don’t want to have to restart my collection…again.
13. I’m always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.
14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this — ever.
15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What’d you do after I didn’t answer? Drop the phone and run away?
16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
17. I keep some people’s phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
18. My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?
19. I think the freezer deserves a light as well..
20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Springpad. All opinions are 100% mine.
I was just talking to my mom the other day about how nice it would be to have a sort of "personal organizer" for the internet. Sure you can simply bookmark pages you like, but how nice would it be to be able to organize everything from your favorite places to eat, to receipts to books, recipes and websites all right on your computer? Well I just found out this evening that there is actually something just like that. It’s called Springpad and it’s a really cool, free personal organizer. With Springpad you can collect and save your favorite recipes from any website with just a few clicks of your mouse button. You can easily search for any recipe that you have stored, add personalized notes, change ingredients around and even add pictures. With Springpad you can also create shopping lists and access both the recipes and shopping lists from your phone!
Some other cool features of Springpad are that it enables you to collect and track wines, restaurants you want to check out. You can even read reviews, make reservations and use Google maps to locate the restaurant and get directions. You can even create a travel plan, and add restaurants to your travel list that you want to visit while you’re traveling. If you own an iPhone you can even search for restaurants that are closest to you from your list. Springpad also has a meal planner, receipt tracker and gift planners. All together there are over 50 apps to help you stay organized.
In honor of Thanksgiving coming up, some of Springpad’s food blogger partners are bringing out their favorite recipes. If you see a recipe you like, you just click on it to add it to your Springpad virtual recipe box and you will be automatically entered to win $100 cash. Go to http://springpadit.com/springsgiving to Check out Springpad and enter the contest.

I have a few ideas about stuff that I want to blog about here but as it turns out I am kind of strapped for time right now. Today has not been the best of days and I’ve still got a shit ton of stuff to do so I can’t very well sit here blogging my little over emotional heart out, can I? I did want to post this up real quick though because otherwise I would forget… and I think it’s absolutely wonderful.
There’s this song called Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. It’s a really amazing song and although he did a great job on it, I like the cover done by Rufus Wainwright better. (from the Shrek movie) Anyway, today I was singing that song in my head and when I got home from my Grandma’s I YouTubed it and found that many people have covered it, and some have done a really great job. The best cover, though, that I’ve ever heard is the one Bonjovi did. It’s Amazing! I LOVE IT! So yeah, I had to toss it up here before I head out to the store.
Enjoy. It’s a beautiful song.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Sponsored Tweets. All opinions are 100% mine.
Are you a "Tweeter?" A Tweeter would be someone who uses the social networking site Twitter on a regular basis or who loves to tweet. I have a Twitter account myself but haven’t used it much. I think I’ll start though, because this company called Izea just launched SponsoredTweets.Com. SponsoredTweets is a brand new marketplace that can help tweeter with monetization. That means that if you are a tweeter you can start making money off of your Tweets. Who doesn’t want to make money? I know I do.
Anyway, there are some really cool aspects to the whole tweeting thing that Izea wants people to know about. Their disclosure engine is one of them and their API is another. SponsoredTweets also has an awesome referral program, The way the referral program works is that anytime you get someone to sign up under your link or badge you will begin to earn 10% of SponsoredTweets portion of revenue of each successful transaction that Tweeter makes. Pretty cool.To sign up for sponsored tweets simply visit their website SponsoredTweets.Com and create an account, set up your account to your liking and then start Tweeting!

Well, just when I thought I thought Wordpress was done with updates for awhile, I log into my admin panel to see a new update available. Yay! Really, it’s not that big of a deal anymore because with the newer versions of Wordpress you can update with one simple click of your mouse button. The only thing is that if I ever do get around to changing the smilies and editing the functions.php I’ll have to remember to back that file up because if I don’t then I’ll have to redo it. That gets kind of tedious.
I’m still planning on making some new brushes or stamps (or maybe both) but I just haven’t had time. School and life are keeping me very busy. Winter break is just around the corner though!
