Av·o·ca·do: sometimes referred to as the alligator pear but its more common nickname is simply “absolutely delicious.” These emerald gems date back to about 10,000 B.C., giving mother nature plenty of time  to work out any potential kinks and make these one of the most versatile fruits on her menu. Most children will turn green when pressured to eat their…greens, but with recipes using Avocados from Mexico, meal time won’t translate to battle time.

We are looking for:

I'd never heard it referred to as the alligator pear but it does have a funny looking alligator skin. The avocado is one of my favorite foods and my children started eating them at a pretty early age. We all love them.

Avocados are delicious and offer a good source of vitamins B & E. Avocados were known by the Aztecs as 'the fertility fruit'.
I do not know if avocados assist with fertility, but they are excellent on sandwiches, and I prefer them over using mayonnaise.

We love avocados in our house! I have a son who has a milk protein allergy, so avocados take the place of cheese and butter for protein and calories. I would love the opportunity to blog about this.
