Code of Conduct

SocialSpark strives to be an open and inviting atmosphere where bloggers and advertisers can come together. While we encourage open discussions and expressive conversation, we must ask that certain standards be abided by. The following includes, but is not limited to, the behaviors that make up the SocialSpark Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct is subject to change (without notice).

Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct refers to the behaviors and activities that are both appropriate and inappropriate for participation within the SocialSpark Community.

PROPS/DROPS:

Appropriate Prop/Drop Usage:
  • Props should be used to express interest in or appreciation of another blogger, blog, advertiser, advertiser’s campaign, etc.
  • Props should be based solely on merit or personal judgment.
  • Drops should be used if anything deemed inappropriate or distasteful is being displayed by a blogger or an advertiser.
  • Drops should be used if a postie is using poor grammar in their paid posts, or if they are not abiding by the SocialSpark Code of Conduct or Terms & Conditions. (Should someone come across a blogger or advertiser who is violating either the CoC or the T&C please contact Customer Love)
Inappropriate Prop/Drop Usage:
  • Props do not affect your traffic statistics or RealRank within SocialSpark and should not be used in an attempt to increase either.
  • Drops should not be used on an advertiser or opportunity simply because a user is not eligible for the opportunity. It is within the rights of an advertiser to segment their opportunity in any manner they see fit.
Props
Props are a way of giving someone a vote of confidence or high rating. Users have the option, in many areas, to offer a 'prop' or 'drop' to other users, opportunities, blogs, advertisers, etc.
Drops
Drops are a way of giving someone a negative vote or low rating. Users have the option, in many areas, to offer a 'prop' or 'drop' to other users, opportunities, blogs, advertisers, etc.

SPAM:

  • We DO NOT allow SPAM or inappropriate content in any manner in the SocialSpark community (this refers to all components of SocialSpark; props/drops, comments, personal messages, profile pages, etc.)
SPAM
Is defined as any content, usually lacking in merit or value, which is placed unrelated into a comment or message strictly for promotional or traffic purposes. SPAM includes soliciting props or opportunity slot requests.

PROFILES:

  • Users are solely responsible for the photos (avatars), profile information (including your name, image, and likeness), messages, and other content that are uploaded, published or displayed on profile pages.
  • Users may not post, or share user content with the SocialSpark community that the user did not create or that the user does not have permission to post.
  • SocialSpark may reject, refuse to post or delete any content we find to be aggressive, attacking, insulting or disrespectful; we reserve the right to edit or remove the offending content. In extreme cases, we may ban a user from the community altogether.

  • Messages should be used to communicate with other users and advertisers.
  • Messages should be sent via an advertiser page for opportunity slot requests.
Inappropriate Comment and Message Usage:
  • Comment sections on an advertiser profile page or an opportunity description page are not meant for slot requests.
  • Comments similar to “prop for you, prop me back” will result in disciplinary action. Continued abuse of the prop/drop system may result in a permanent ban from the community.
  • Do not inquire about the status of individual posts within comment sections or messages. Contact Customer Love for status inquiries.
  • Advertiser comment sections are not intended to be a place for individual questions to be answered. Again, contact our Customer Love Department for questions.
  • Comments cannot include any content we deem inappropriate. It is within our sole digression to define inappropriate content. We reserve the right to remove any inappropriate content, and ban the author(s) of such content from the community entirely.
