Standards

SocialSpark has a dedicated team of curators that go through our network on an ongoing basis to maintain the quality of our marketplace. Our goal is to provide our advertisers with access to authentic, high quality publishers that are passionate about their blogs. Our team uses the following criteria to evaluate the blogs submitted to our network :

Content

Your content is the most important component of your blog. Our team reads your posts to make sure they are relevant, original and thoughtful. We don’t accept blogs filled with quotes or content clippings. Grammar and spelling are also important, please make sure you proofread your posts.

Activity

Make sure you keep your blog up to date. If you go several weeks in between blog posts chances are you aren’t engaging your audience in a meaningful and consistent way.

Aesthetics

We look at the layout of your blog as a reader would. We want to make sure that the content on your blog is easy to digest and visually appealing. We look at the balance of advertising to content, as well as the type of advertising and placement. If your blog is overrun with sponsored posts or contains a lot lower quality display advertising we will likely reject it from our network.

Engagement

Comments, re-tweets and Facebook shares are a good indication of reader engagement. Our advertisers like blogs that have a strong connection with their audience. We encourage you to build a community around your blog.

We take a holistic approach to evaluating the blogs our publishers submit to the network. You can check your review status to see where you are in the process. Blogs are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
